The House of Her Imprint

Welcome. I’m Tenecia Nicole.

I am an author, a publisher, an educator, and a storyteller — but before any of those titles, I am a daughter. My first book, Her Imprint: Lessons in Love, Relationships, and Womanhood, was born out of grief and gratitude. What I found in the writing was something I didn’t expect: my own voice, and a calling I couldn’t walk away from.

That book opened a door. Women began to reach out — women who had their own stories and their own people they were afraid of losing to time and silence. And I realized that what I had done for myself, I could help others do as well. So I built something. A publishing house, a community and a space where stories are treated as sacred.

Over the years, that calling grew into something bigger than I ever imagined — a full ecosystem of brands, each one serving a different part of the same mission. Together, they make up House of Her Imprint: my creative home for stories, legacies, and the women brave enough to tell them. That house holds The Imprint, my boutique publishing house; Black Women Publish, the community where it all began; Beyond the Bookshelf, a video podcast for the stories behind the stories; and Literary Luxe, a digital marketplace for writers at every stage of their journey.

Through The Imprint, I work with authors one at a time, with full focus and full care, to take their story from a feeling they can’t quite name all the way to a published book on retail shelves. Through Black Women Publish, I helped an entire community of women find their voices and their pages. Through Beyond the Bookshelf, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with authors and pulling out the backstory behind their books.

Everything I do is rooted in one conviction: every person has a story that deserves to be told. Not just the extraordinary ones and not just the ones the world already knows. Every single story — including yours — deserves to be told.
