S2 E6: Her Imprint

About the Author: Tenecia N. Brown is the Host of Beyond the Bookshelf and she provides a space for authors to share the backstory behind their books through her podcast and show Beyond the Bookshelf.

In addition to Beyond the Bookshelf, Tenecia Nicole launched an event series entitled Books & Brunch where she hosts a live event featuring authors in Houston.

Prior to becoming the Host of Beyond the Bookshelf, Tenecia was a Teacher and Founder/ Co-Founder of two startups: Social Grace & Co. where she worked with Boards, CEO’s and executive teams on mastering digital communications and Gradeness, an edtech startup focused on building great students through better grades.

Tenecia has an extensive background in communications, where she spent almost a decade in corporate and agency roles. Her background includes working with executive teams, senior leadership staff and startup founders.

Tenecia is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and former accolades include being a a #YesWeCode Hackathon mentor during Essence Fest, whose team won in the Best Market Validation Category, a Digital Marketing Strategist/ Consultant for Miss Jessie's, LLC, a Global Ambassador for Empowering One Billion Women and a 1 Million Cups Houston Organizer.
